Cheryl White Young, owner and director of the Cheryl Ann White School of Dance had an overpowering love of music and dance as a child. She decided to share this love with young people of Warwick and Rhode Island.
She opened her studio in 1964, and has touched the lives of thousands of children and adults throughout the years.
Just completing 59 years of teaching dance, her School of Dance is the longest established studio in the City of Warwick.
Her students have won trophies and competitions in the past, and have taken part in many parades in Warwick.
Cheryl and her students have provided many hours of entertainment for Community Festivals, Senior Citizen organizations, and nursing homes in Warwick and throughout the State of Rhode Island.
Cheryl has been listed in the 2003-2004 National Register of Who's Who in Professionals. She has received the Volunteer of the Year Award by the City of Warwick, for work with the Senior Citizens tap groups, and received an award from the Mayor of the City of Warwick for 40 Years of Dedication in Teaching Dance to the community.
Cheryl has always taught all lessons herself, with the exception of acrobatics, which her sister instructs. Students at our studio enjoy the idea of small classes and individual attention.
